M. Ward will be releasing A Wasteland Companion in April.  I’m loving the single “The First I Ran Away” and the animated short video that accompanies it. M. Ward is a beast when it comes to making soft-compelling tracks.

Bombay Bicycle Club has been one of my favorite bands for a while. That was solidified when I saw them last year during SXSW - their live performances were vigorous.

I’ve been addicted to the song “How can you swallow so much sleep” off their 2011 release A Different kind of Fix for quite some time (2010 to be exact when it was featured in the Twilight Eclipse movie; don’t judge, those films put out decent soundtracks), so to have the release of a video finally come out makes me pretty excited. It’s animated!

With each album, Bombay Bicycle Club seems to develop more and more; their writing and music continue to be beautifully done. Unlike their last album Flaws, which was very folksy and acoustic, A Different Kind of Fix is more lyrically and musically aggressive and progressive. You can grab a digital copy for $8 on Amazon.

“Dawned On Me” music video is just way too fun.  Wilco gets a little animated as members jam out along side Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Bluto.  Not to mention, it is a great song from a great record.

If you haven’t already, check out Wilco’s great 2011 album, The Whole Love.  It is under $8 on amazon.
